When a Jeep club or 4x4 organization works with the BLM or Forest Service to open a new trail, the first run is always the toughest. That’s the idea behind the Trailbreaker Series—built for the kind of day where you don’t know what you’re going to hit, you just know it’ll be rough.

Engineered specifically for JL 2-Doors running a 10" stretch wheelbase, these frame-mounted sliders deliver full-length, heavy-duty protection matched to your extended wheelbase and custom rear axle placement. If you could only take one set of sliders to a true trail-breaking event on a stretched JL, this is it: a frame-mounted design that takes repeated beatings, slides cleanly off ledges, and protects the underbody areas most sliders leave exposed—including a true boatside transition when equipped with skin packages.

These aren't "step-only" duty—they let you pivot off obstacles, drag the belly without worry, and keep your stretched 2-door body and frame protected trail after trail.

Core Slider Structure (Steel)

Trailbreaker sliders use a true dual-tube, frame-mounted structure built for repeated, heavy vehicle impacts on a stretched chassis:

• 2" Diameter DOM Structural Steel Tubing
• Top Tube: .188" wall DOM for robust side protection with smart weight control.
• Bottom Tube: .250" wall DOM in the primary impact zone—maximum strength right where the slider takes the hits.

Frame Mounting System (Steel Brackets)

Laser-cut, CNC-formed steel brackets using a strength-to-weight optimized blend:

• 3/16" Steel: Applied where formed strength and reduced bulk make sense.
• 1/4" Steel: Applied where maximum rigidity and heavy load distribution into the frame rail are required.

Slider Configuration Options

Choose your configuration based on how you wheel today—and how you may want to upgrade down the road.

Option 1: Bare Bones (No Skins)

A premium frame-mounted slider system with no aluminum skins, no UHMW, and no pre-installed threaded rivet nuts.

• Built to take massive impacts as a core frame-mounted rock slider.
• Allows you to add skins later if you want the boatside and outer armor protection.
• Best for builders who want the core structure now and plan to add skin packages down the road.

Note: If you select Bare Bones, skins can easily be added later using our conversion kits.

Option 2: 7075 Boatside (7075 Skins)

Adds our full 7075-T6 aluminum skin package—including the boatside panel—and includes the threaded rivet nuts required for installation.

• 7075-T6 Faceplate Panel: Mounts between the top and bottom tubes for a smooth outer armor surface.
• 7075-T6 Boatside Panel: Fills the gap between the bottom tube and the frame rail to create a smooth, seamless transition under the vehicle.
• Includes: Threaded rivet nuts required for mounting the 7075 panels.
• Benefits: High-strength outer surface that slides better than standard step designs, eliminates snag points across your 10" stretch, and offers rust-free armor surfaces even when heavily gouged.

Option 3: Glide Boatside (7075 + UHMW)

Our maximum-performance configuration for extreme rock crawling. Includes everything from the 7075 Boatside option, plus UHMW wear surfaces in high-contact zones.

• 7075-T6 Base Armor + UHMW Wear Surfaces: Provides ultra-low friction so the Jeep transitions over obstacles instead of grabbing.
• Impact Absorbing: Extremely resistant to gouging, keeping your underbody sliding smoothly.
• Replaceable Wear Layer: Designed specifically for hard-core wheelers who use their sliders heavily.

Clearance & Boatside Geometry

The boatside design is functional, high-clearance trail geometry:

• Covers the belly gap between the slider and frame rail, reducing hang-ups on stretched setups.
• Creates a smooth "ramp" that helps guide the Jeep up and over rocks rather than catching on edges.
• Protects exposed body mounts and frame bracket regions.

Installation

• Frame-Mounted: Designed to bear the full weight of the vehicle on rocks.
• Bolt-On Capable: Requires drilling (uses factory mounting points plus recommended drill holes for load distribution).
• Weld-On Recommended: Suggested for extreme rock crawling to achieve maximum chassis rigidity and durability.
• Pinch Seam Trim Required: Requires a controlled notch/trim method to tuck the slider high and tight while maintaining factory body sealing.
