Product Description
Motobilt Fuel Cell for 4-Link Suspension (Gladiator JT 2020+)
The moment a Gladiator moves into real suspension geometry, the factory fuel tank becomes the obstacle. Link separation tightens. Clearance disappears. The rear of the truck starts negotiating instead of working. Relocating the tank is not an upgrade at that point. It’s a requirement.
A double triangulated rear 4 link needs space the factory Gladiator tank occupies. This system moves the fuel capacity behind the rear axle so suspension geometry, travel, and clearance can exist without compromise. It was built to support serious rear suspension layouts while retaining factory fuel system functionality.
The MB5083 relocates approximately 25 gallons of fuel to the rear of the truck in an aluminum tank protected by a 3/16 inch steel skid plate. This is gain of over 3 additional gallons over the stock tank. With the factory tank removed, link geometry and rear suspension components gain the space they need to operate correctly.
The system is designed to reuse the factory fuel pump and EVAP components. A dedicated EVAP relocation bracket is included and must be welded to the crossmember, placing the canister in a protected and functional location without custom fabrication.
This tank can also be used with a factory uncut frame and with the Motobilt bobbed bed configuration. The factory rear track bar mount must be removed to clear the relocated tank and skid.
- Rear mounted fuel tank and skid system for Jeep Gladiator
- Approximately 25 gallon aluminum fuel tank (3 more than factory)
- 3/16 inch steel skid plate
- Designed to support double triangulated rear suspension layouts
- Includes hardware to reuse factory fuel pump and EVAP system
- EVAP canister relocation bracket included
- EVAP bracket must be welded to Motobilt bobbed bed cross member
Notes:
** Installation requires removal of the factory fuel tank. Welding is required to attach the EVAP relocation bracket to the cross member. The rear track bar mount must be removed. This system is intended for experienced fabricators building linked rear setups
*** Once installed, fuel capacity, serviceability and system integration remain intact while the rear suspension gains the space it demands
