The factory rear corners on a Jeep JK take a beating on the trail and quickly become a limitation when running larger tires. The factory sheet metal does not offer much protection, and the stock tail light placement leaves them exposed to damage.
Builders often end up cutting or modifying the rear corners for clearance, but without proper armor, the body is left vulnerable and the finished result lacks structure.
The Motobilt rear corner armor is designed to replace the factory corners with a 3/16 inch steel solution that adds protection while maintaining a clean body line. This system reinforces the rear of the Jeep and provides better durability in rock crawling environments.
These corners also feature an integrated recessed tail light housing designed around the Motobilt MB6504 5 inch round tail lights. A dedicated pocket below the tail light includes a Baja Designs S1 light for auxiliary reverse lighting. This setup keeps the lights protected while improving visibility.
An aluminum trim ring bolts to the outside of the tail light, allowing you to customize the look with paint or finish to match the build. The overall design keeps the rear of the Jeep clean while adding function and protection.
