Not sure what you need?
When you stretch the rear of a JK, the factory structure runs out of room fast.
The MB1580 Rear Stretch Towers are built to give the suspension the space and strength it actually needs. Designed to support up to a 3.0 16 inch coilover, these towers allow proper shock placement without compromising link geometry or stuffing the shock into weak factory sheet metal.
The system replaces the factory rear suspension crossmember with a new 3/16 inch steel crossmember engineered with built in link clearance. This creates the room necessary for a rear 3 link suspension to cycle properly without fighting the chassis.
RockJock sway bar brackets are included and designed to relocate the sway bar to a new frame position that works with the stretched layout. The towers are designed to work with the MB5099 Tomahawk Fuel Cell or a rear seat location fuel tank configuration, keeping the rear packaging clean and functional.
This is not a cosmetic upgrade. It is structural reconfiguration for builders who are serious about rear suspension performance.
Notes:
** Welding required. Towers and crossmember must be welded to the factory frame
*** Designed to work only with MB5099 Tomahawk Fuel Cell or a fuel tank relocated to the rear seat location
**** Minimal exhaust modification will be required
***** Installation intended for experienced fabricators
****** Additional suspension components may be required depending on overall rear stretch setup
******* Final shock fitment and travel clearance will depend on axle width, wheel backspacing and link geometry
******** Recommended to mock up full suspension at ride height and full bump prior to final welding
