On stretched Jeep JK builds running a drop tailgate, the factory hinge cutouts in the rear corner are no longer needed. Standard corner armor leaves these openings exposed, which breaks up the body lines and creates an unfinished look.
The Motobilt MB1138-T Tomahawk stretch corner armor is designed specifically for builders running a drop tailgate. It eliminates the factory hinge cutouts, creating a clean and uninterrupted panel across the rear corner.
Like the standard version, this corner armor moves the wheel opening rearward to match the stretched axle position. This provides the clearance needed for larger tires and proper suspension travel while keeping the body lines consistent.
These corners are designed to work with MB1271 stretch 2" flares, Motobilt stretch rocker armor and Tomahawk front fenders. When paired together, the rocker, corner, and wheel opening all align correctly, creating a clean and functional layout for stretched JK builds.
It also features the same integrated tail light system, designed for MB6504 5 inch round tail lights and a Baja Designs S1 auxiliary reverse light. The recessed housing protects the lights while maintaining a clean appearance.
This version is intended for builders who want a cleaner rear profile and are not using factory tailgate hinges.
