Meet our Reps: A Q&A Look into #TeamOffroadElements

Posted by Gillian Fournier on 23rd Jun 2017

Once we returned from our California trip in February, spectating at King of the Hammers and enjoying the #CaliLiving, we quickly realized that we were growing faster than we had expected. Long days turned into longer nights, meals were skipped, events were missed, milestones were hit, but we were in overload. The days were blurring together and I swear we could hear the phone lines constant ringing in our sleep. We decided in mid-March, in order to keep up with our brand and get our name out there even more, we needed to rally the troops! We took to social media around midnight on a Tuesday night and put up announcements on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram that we were on the hunt for our first ever Brand Ambassadors. Within minutes, the emails started flooding in and after weeks of going through hundreds of applications, we had narrowed it down. So, without further ado, meet our reps!

Arizona Rep: Adam A. (@utiadam)

Offroad Elements: What initially made you apply for our Brand Ambassador program?
Adam A: Quite a few people had messaged me asking my opinion on lifts or other Jeep related upgrades. Plus I enjoy going to all of the local meets. I figured, why not build a relationship with a vendor at the same time?

OE: What turned you on to the Jeep world?
AA: I was initially just looking for something that had 4 wheel drive. I was comparing the 4 door Tacomas, FJ and 4 door Jeeps. I ended up with the Jeep because of the endless aftermarket parts that are available for it.

OE: What does the Jeep community mean to you?
AA: The Jeep community seems to be very welcoming and friendly for the most part. It doesn't matter if you are a rock crawler, overland or Barbie Jeep...people seem to wave.

OE: What is your goal with your Jeep, build wise? Overland? Daily driver? Rock crawler? Mud lover? Combo?
AA: Mainly daily driver with rock crawling capabilities. I wanted to have something built with overkill in mind. That was one of the main reasons I did 1350 driveshafts instead of 1310. I don't see the point of putting weak links in the build with the mentality of it being a fuse.

OE: Who/What is your favorite manufacturer and why?
AA: Most people who know me or just look at the build already know that it's EVO. They are great quality, made in the USA and look great as well.

OE: If you had to choose your next upgrade (money not a factor) what would it be?
AA: Money not being an issue, it would probably be the Dynatrac ProRock 60/80 combo.

OE: What has been your favorite upgrade so far?
AA: Probably the EVO Bolt On King Coilovers. They ride great for daily driving, have endless tuning potential and look cool as well.

OE: If there was one piece of information you could give new Jeep owners, what would it be?
AA: Buy once, cry once. Don't upgrade multiple times. Buy quality the first time around even if it means saving longer. It will save you money in the long run.

California Rep: Miguel R (@valley_jku)

Offroad Elements: What initially made you apply for the Offroad Elements Brand Ambassador Program?
Miguel R: I saw the opportunity to be a part of something awesome where I could not only get my own name out there but promote a company that's out there and interacts with customers and gives out advice to all who need it.

OE: What turned you on to the Jeep world?
MR: Once upon a time in a galaxy far far away....Ok I'm joking. I've always loved camping and the outdoors and after being stranded in the snow for 5 hours in my RWD pick up truck in Yosemite, I figured I should get a 4x4 vehicle. I always liked the rugged look of Jeeps and as time went on I started to meet more Jeepers and got into wheeling. I had a 2014 Grand Cherokee that I almost rolled and decided I needed a JKU and man, did I fall in love!

OE: What does the Jeep community mean to you?
MR: It's something I will never get tired of! I love meeting new people on every trip I go on and love that our conversations can go on forever. If you need help, people are always down to help out!

OE: What is your goal with your Jeep, build wise? Overland? Daily driver? Rock crawler? Mud lover? Combo?
MR: My initial goal with my Jeep was for overlanding but I think now i'm going for a combination of an overland/rock crawling rig.

OE: Who/What is your favorite manufacturer and why?
MR: To be honest, I don't think I have a favorite one. I believe every company is great! There is so much variety in parts, it's all up to each Jeepers taste with their build in mind. I do recommend VKS Fabrication- I like the quality of their products, no doubt!

OE: If you had to choose your next upgrade (money not a factor) what would it be?
MR: I think I would have to say Falcon shocks with the Teraflex Long Arm Kit definitely!

OE: What has been your favorite upgrade so far?
MR: My VKS sliders! Those things are built tough! I've used them plenty of times and all I've ever had to do was just a touch up to the paint and then I don't have to worry about them.

OE: If there was one piece of information you could give new Jeep owners, what would it be?
MR: Never go the cheaper route. I tried that at first but now I know it's always best to go with quality. DON'T CHEAP OUT!

Maryland Rep: Justin M. (@4x4live/@justin_mycka)

Offroad Elements: What initially made you apply for the Offroad Elements Brand Ambassador program?
Justin M: Ever since I followed Offroad Elements on Instagram, I've kept an eye on their page to see what they were up to. Eric and Gillian always seem like they're involved in some type of giveaway or event that was happening around them. They seem like a company that is heavily involved in the offroad community and I really like that. Once I saw they were taking applications, I instantly knew I wanted to be a part of the team. Ever since I've been a brand ambassador, it's been more like a family than a company!

OE: What turned you on to the Jeep world?
JM: I've been around Jeeps my whole life. From when I was little, my dad had a lifted Jeep. My first vehicle was a lifted Cherokee and I treated that Jeep better than some people treat their kids! I got out of my Jeep because I thought I wanted to try something different so I bought myself a GTI. Fun, fast little car but I missed being in a Jeep so bad. One day I went out and bought myself a 2016 JKU and couldn't be happier!

OE: What does the Jeep community mean to you?
JM: The Jeep community has always been more like a family. Everyone is always down to lend a hand when needed. I've had countless amounts of people open their driveways to me and lend me any type of tool that I needed to get the job done. That's what I have always loved about owning a Jeep- you inherit one huge family!

OE: What is your goal with your Jeep build wise? Overland? Daily driver? Rock crawler? Mud lover? Combo?
JM: As of right now, my Jeep is my daily driver but I would love to build it into a rock crawler! I used to like mud until I needed to fix something and the mud would make the job 10 times more difficult. Plus I like the challenge that rocks bring.

OE: Who/What is your favorite manufacturer and why?
JM: This is definitely a tough question with the amount of awesome companies out there. I've always been a fan of Rock Krawler, EVO, Rock Hard 4x4, Artec Industries, VKS Fab and whatever other companies want me to test their products!

OE: If you had to choose your next upgrade (money not a factor) what would it be?
JM: Either upgrading my axles or getting a RIPP Supercharger!

OE: What has been your favorite upgrade so far?
JM: My Rock Krawler 3.5" X Factor Suspension System!

OE: If there was one piece of information you could give new Jeep owners, what would it be?
JM: Welcome to never having money and spending money as soon as you get it!

Texas Rep 1 of 4: Josh M (@jpnerdjosh)

Offroad Elements: What initially made you apply for the Offroad Elements Brand Ambassador Program?
Josh M: I initially applied to be a part of the program due to the opportunity to grow with a company wanting to grow with me. The owners are of similar age and interest, and just want to wheel and test their Jeeps and abilities and to be good informants to new Jeep owners.

OE: What turned you on to the Jeep world?
JMc: I got turned on to the Jeep world in high school. I'd go down to the local Jeep dealership and stare at the Gunmetal Pearl Coat Sport they had on the lot several nights a week. Although I didn't get it, the bug never left me. I started with a WJ, upgrading it with a Zone lift and 32" tires, then an 89 XJ just to play with. I then moved onto a 2007 JKU Sport that had a couple of beginner mods, but still virgin enough to learn from the beginning. About 6 months later I added a 2013 Sport and moved everything from the 07 to the 13 and traded the 07 for a new Cherokee. I had the 13 for a year and a half, tons of mods later, I got dumb and traded it in for a Camaro. Hated it from day 1. Another year and a half later, I'm thankfully back in a 2015 JKUR. My wife drives a Grand Cherokee, so yeah, you could say we're a Jeepin' family!

OE: What does the Jeep community mean to you?
JMc: The Jeep community means fellowship and family. Wheeling, traveling, exploring and even mall crawling together. Supporting the community with events for police, fire and EMS. Having a plan to help get people out of ditches during inclement weather. It's about helping each other and others in any way we can. Setting good examples for our kids and others new to the community.

OE: What is your goal with your Jeep build wise? Overland? Daily driver? Rock crawler? Mud lover? Combo?
JMc: My goal for my Jeep is daily driver that I enjoy playing on the rocks with. I am building for 40's with the ability to tackle hard to extreme trails and still be able to drive home and to work on Monday. I didn't buy my Jeep to see it parked in the garage every day and I believe that the 27k miles I've put on it my first year of ownership proves that a little.

OE: Who/What is your favorite manufacturer and why?
JMc: My favorite manufacturer is EVO. They may not be the first to market with all of their products, however they are solid and well thought out for the needs they're intended for. I've seen their products perform in person in ways you'd think only a buggy would. Truly, an impressive manufacturer.

OE: If you had to choose your next upgrade (money not a factor) what would it be?
JMc: If money was not an object, my next upgrade would be a Dynatrac Elite ProRock XD 60/80 Axle set. This would allow me the peace of mind to go anywhere, anytime without the worry of making it back home.

OE: What has been your favorite upgrade so far?
JMc: My favorite upgrade so far has been my King OEM 2.0 Front Shocks. Though I bought them out of necessity, the improvement in ride quality and control on and off road is incredible even for their basic shock over other brands of shocks I've run.

OE: If there was one piece of information you could give new Jeep owners, what would it be?
JMc: My advice to a new Jeep owner is to research and don't buy the cheapest mods you can find. You'll almost always end up spending the money twice to replace it with better parts. Listen to those who have been around the block. Ask questions, ask for rides in their Jeeps, don't just blindly trust everyone.

Texas Rep 2 of 4: Michael M. (@texasjk/@dfwjeeps)

Offroad Elements: What turned you on to the Jeep world?
Michael M: Seeing what the Jeeps are capable of and how fun they were when I was younger.

OE: What does the Jeep community mean to you?
MM: So many good people! I've met so many good friends!

OE: What is your goal with your Jeep, build wise? Overland? Daily driver? Rock crawler? Mud Lover? Combo?
MM: Rock crawler for sure. About to do a fuel cell and a triangulated 4 link suspension, full roll cage and coilovers.

OE: Who/What is your favorite manufacturer and why?
MM: Man that's tough, there are so many great companies. I'm not sold on any one brand, but who makes the best product for its application.

OE: If you had to choose your next upgrade (money not a factor) what would it be?
MM: Coilovers!

OE: What is your favorite upgrade so far?
MM: Tough question. I love my Jeep so much. I guess I really like my Poison Spyder Tire Carrier.

OE: If there was one piece of information you could give new Jeep owners, what would it be?
MM: Don't go cheap thinking you will change it later. Just wait for the parts you want, even if you have to wait a little longer.

Georgia Rep 1 of 3: Josh V. (@vandecon)

Offroad Elements: What initially made you apply for the Offroad Elements Brand Ambassador Program?
Josh V: I applied to expand my Jeep community reach. I wanted more exposure to Jeepers all over the country and to rep a badass company who understands the Jeep lifestyle.

OE: What turned you on to the Jeep world?
JV: I bought my first Jeep in 2015 and never looked back. I really wanted a vehicle that looked badass at the mall and could crawl over anything. A Jeep Wrangler is the perfect vehicle for both. It's all about freedom. The freedom to do what you want no matter how mild or wild. The freedom to take your top and doors off. The freedom to explore and test your Jeeps capabilities.

OE: What does the Jeep community mean to you?
JV: The Jeep community is interesting and awesome. Everyone wants to be sponsored and run with the big rigs. However, I'd rather be wheeling all day with good friends than to be stuck at a booth showing off my Jeep. Real Jeepers help each other out whether it's on the trails or in the garage wrenching. The comradery in the Jeep community is unmatched.

OE: What is your goal with your Jeep, build wise? Overland? Daily driver? Rock crawler? Mud Lover? Combo?
JV: I want my Jeep to be ready to look good at the mall and crush it on the trails no matter how extreme. Eventually I'd like to run 40's and swap axles to an aftermarket 44 front and 60 rear.

OE: Who/What is your favorite manufacturer and why?
JV: JCR Offroad because they make badass armor and produce awesome videos. I had the opportunity to tour the JCR facility in Michigan and they are great guys and take pride in their work.

OE: If you had to choose your next upgrade (money not a factor) what would it be?
JV: One ton axles, ready to bolt in.

OE: What is your favorite upgrade so far?
JV: My MetalCloak Game Changer lift because of how capable it has made my Jeep on the hard trails.

OE: If there was one piece of information you could give new Jeep owners, what would it be?
JV: Don't buy a cheap lift kit. Find local Jeep clubs on Facebook to connect with. Lockers before light bars.

Virginia Rep 1 of 2: James B (@puddlejumperjk)

Offroad Elements: What initially made you apply for the Offroad Elements Brand Ambassador program?
James B: I honestly just saw the post on Instagram and thought I'd give it a shot. I'm a low ranking enlisted military so having a sponsorship helps. I am hoping to actually get more help in building my Jeep. I can't afford anything that I want but I'm in a great position to constantly change my crowd. Moving constantly helps me to go to different events and meet more people. So I know that I can get companies out there in the limelight.

OE: What turned you on to the Jeep world?
JB: There was such happiness with every person I saw that owned a Jeep. I knew that it was the perfect vehicle for me and I will now only buy Jeeps.

OE: What does the Jeep community mean to you?
JB: It's a bunch of great guys and gals. Some of the nicest people I've ever met. Always there to lend a helping hand or give great advice. It's just a broad group that has a spot for everyone.

OE: What is your goal with your Jeep, build wise. Overland? Daily driver? Rock crawler? Mud lover? Combo?
JB: Rock crawler/overland. It is my daily driver and will be for a good while. I love to go just about everywhere with my Jeep. That's part of why it's the best vehicle you can ever own.

OE: Who/What is your favorite manufacturer and why?
JB: I'm not sure if I have a favorite manufacturer but I really love MetalCloak. I feel like they have come up with just about the best lift you can get. For my Jeep, it will work perfectly. It will perform where I need it to and still be great as a daily.

OE: If you had to choose your next upgrade (money not a factor) what would it be?
JB: I would get Dynatrac axles. I really want my lift and 37's but can't do that until I get a good set of axles. Once I get them I'll really be able to do some big things and get more peoples attention.

OE: What is your favorite upgrade so far?
JB: My favorite upgrade has been my bumper/winch combo. Nobody pulls out in front of me when they see the stinger and I've already used my winch to help people get out of places and fix bent parts.

OE: If there was one piece of information you could give new Jeep owners, what would it be?
JB: If you are planning on really building a Jeep, buy the low end sport. Everything is getting replaced so don't spend the money for extras or add-ons upfront. For the people that just want some bigger tires and a small lift, I would highly suggest getting a Rubicon.

Texas Rep 3 of 4: Dillon N (@blackbetty_jk)

Offroad Elements: What initially made you apply for the Offroad Elements Brand Ambassador program?
Dillon N: I was very intrigued after seeing OE was looking for ambassadors via a live post from @thehavocjk. Once I knew they were looking, I quickly began to do some research and read the reviews of their company. On their website, they had an "About Us" section which told me everything I needed to know about them and that if I was chosen, I would not be simply representing just another company, but a company who is all about helping fellow Jeepers, whether it's with great prices, build advice or great all around customer service. I knew that this was a company I could stand behind and promote to my Jeep family.

OE: What turned you on to the Jeep world?
DN: Growing up, my family was always offroading so I was brought up in the offroad world and the Jeeps we would see on the trails always drew my interest more than anything else. When I was 16, that day came and I traded my little 95 Toyota pickup for a 97 TJ and from that day on, the mods started and I was locked in. Since then I have had a total of 3 Jeeps: 97 red TJ, 04 Yellow TJ and to my third and current 07 black JKU. I will forever always have a Jeep in my possession and hope to spark the same desire into my children.

OE: What does the Jeep community mean to you?
DN: The community to me is family. Owning a Jeep allows for someone to meet total strangers and strike up long conversations around one another's rig and drive away as great friends. My local Jeep community, Fort Hood Chapter of the Military Jeepers Club, has helped me in so many ways, especially making personal transitions when I first moved here. They were so open and welcoming and it made me feel like we had lived there for years. My wife and I were invited to Jeep meets and events in the area that allowed us to get out and meet so many new friends that today I would consider family, just because of the simple fact that we all own Jeeps. As they say "it's more than a Jeep- it's a way of life".

OE: What is your goal with your Jeep, build wise? Overland? Daily driver? Rock crawler? Mud lover? Combo?
DN: As my Jeep is not needed as my dd, my goal is to build a Jeep that is a dominant rock crawler but still be reliable enough to make long trips without being trailered and the occasional use as a grocery getter for when we're feeling frisky. It is well on its way but there is still much more needed to get it to where I want it to be.

OE: Who/What is your favorite manufacturer and why?
DN: I would have to say Skyjacker. I've ran their suspension systems on all 3 of my Jeeps and have never had any complaints about their products. Their products are reliable and perform well. Skyjacker is a company that has been in business for over 40 years and prides themselves in making quality parts, while offering great customer service and giving glory to God for their success.

OE: If you had to choose your next upgrade (money not a factor) what would it be?
DN: If money were not an option my next upgrades would easily be a new set of Dynatrac ProRock 44 front and 60 rear axles. Their axles are the best on the market and would allow my Jeep to go to the next level.

OE: What is your favorite upgrade so far?
DN: I would have to say my 4" Value Flex Suspension System from Skyjacker. The upgraded suspension has provided my Jeep with better looks, stance and performance ability. Without this upgrade, I would have just another daily driver that looks cool. The upgrade has allowed for me to get out and conquer trails and obstacles that I just simply would not be able to do in a stock Jeep.

OE: If there was one piece of advice you could give to a new Jeep owner, what would it be?
DN: Before doing any modifications, take your Jeep wheeling stock to see what you, as the driver, are willing to try and what they Jeep is already capable of. Learn what it is you want your Jeep to do. From there, then begin your upgrades to achieve the goal you have put in mind for your rig.

North Carolina Rep: Josh S. (@steelacon2.0)

Offroad Elements: What initially made you apply for the Offroad Elements Brand Ambassador program?
Josh S: As we all start building our Jeeps and getting more and more into the Jeep world, we dream of getting a sponsor or being a brand ambassador for somebody, or at least I did. After learning that Offroad Elements was looking to partner up with some people and do just that. I knee of them but not a lot so I looked into them even more and everything I saw, along with other customers I talked too showed me without a doubt this would be a Brand I would want to get behind and work with. Personal, great customer service and good prices to boot, it's a Brand everyone should get behind. When you can call and joke around with the people you buy your parts from, or message them on Facebook if you have a question, there's a lot to be said about personal interaction that makes you feel like you matter. A lot of bigger companies can't or just won't do that. This day and age it's hard to find awesome people with a great company you actually want to put your name out there for and stand behind, this one you can.

OE: What turned you on to the Jeep world?
JS: Being able to go anywhere is what first drew me in. I've had 4 Jeeps, my first jeep was a 94 XJ and I bought it from my neighbor after a big snow storm hit and he was driving around like it was nothing and I was 19 driving a 2wd chevy s10 and couldn't go anywhere and decided I wanted a vehicle that could take me anywhere anytime. After that I had a 99 TJ then no jeep for a while. When the 4door Jk's came out I fell in love with them and always wanted a lifted one. When I was able, I bought my 09 JKU Sahara and built it up and loved the building process and learning from fellow Jeepers. Once it was built I sold it and bought my 14 JKUR, and am building it and enjoying every minute. So what brought me to the jeep scene was the go anywhere, whenever I wanted to feeling along with the fun of the build and the camaraderie among fellow jeepers.

OE: What does the Jeep community mean to you?
JS: This goes along with question 2. It means knowing you are part of a community of like-minded people willing to do whatever, whenever to help out a fellow Jeeper and the outside community. It means always having someone to learn from and help work on your Jeep. It means good times, great friends, an open road or trail, no top and no doors. It means being free!

OE: What is your goal with your Jeep, build wise? Overland? Daily driver? Rock crawler? Mud lover? Combo?
JS: My main goal with my Jeep is mostly rock crawling but also to be show ready at any time. I like it to perform and go anywhere but also look good doing it. Definitely want to keep it street legal as well so I can drive it when I want. I also want it to be built enough so I don't have to worry about breaking very often no matter what I want to take on.

OE: Who/What is your favorite manufacturer and why?
JS: My favorite manufacturer is EVO, Offroad Evolutions. The owner, Mel, is definitely the man and knows what the Jeep market needs and makes parts that hold up to our demands. Made in America, best quality, no cutting corners. And they partner with the best of the best like Dynatrac and King Shocks. They use their products like they should be, racing off-the-shelf coilovers and long arm systems so you know they are quality! Everything is super beefy and strong, great parts and the best quality!

OE: If you had to choose your next upgrade (money not a factor) what would it be?
JS: It would have to be the Dynatrac ProRock XD60 front and 80 rear axles. Or the EVO Double Throw Down kit with EVO lever, King Coilovers and bypass shocks.

OE: What is your favorite upgrade so far?
JS: It's really hard to choose a favorite mod out of everything. It's either my Poison Spyder Crusher Flares, because of how much they've changed the overall look of the Jeep with the paint I chose and how strong they are with their inner bracing OR my ATX Slab Beadlocks because there is so much more grip when airing down low and better ride offroad while lowering the PSI on my tires.  Made a bigger difference than I would have thought, plus they look badass!

OE: If there was one piece of information you could give new Jeep owners, what it would be?
JS: Research! Research! Research! Really think about what you want to get out of your build and what you want to do with it. Don't think just think about right now and getting it up in the air. Think about what you want to do later out of your Jeep. Plan your build for what you want your Jeep to eventually be...your final objective. If you can do that along with researching the best parts for what you want to do, you won't end up paying twice as much down the road, changing what you don't like or want. If it takes a little longer to get the better products, then hold off. It will be worth it in the end. Do it once and do it right!

New Hampshire Rep 1 of 2: Dennis O. (@shortfuse603_jk/@DogfartJK)

Offroad Elements: What initially made you apply for the Offroad Elements Brand Ambassador program?
Dennis O: I applied for the program because of the way OE treats their customers. When I received a thank you card after a small purchase, I knew I had found the right place for my parts. I was thrilled with the opportunity to officially spread the word about them.

OE: What turned you on to the Jeep world?
DO: The idea of no doors and no top and the freedom and ability to go anywhere I wanted.

OE: What does the Jeep community mean to you?
DO: The family you instantly become a part of is hands down the best part of owning a Jeep. Also being able to share knowledge and experiences with other Jeep owners.

OE: What is your goal with your Jeep, build wise? Overland? Daily driver? Rock crawler? Mud lover? Combo?
DO: My goal for the Jeep is a combo as it's also my daily driver. I love to get it dirty once in a while but I also want enough flex to keep up on the more advanced trails. And, of course, everyone likes a clean Jeep at the mall!

OE: Who/What is your favorite manufacturer and why?
DO: This one is more difficult to answer as almost everything I have bought has been used. I would have to say TeraFlex based on what I've heard about their quality parts and customer service.

OE: If you had to choose your next upgrade (money not a factor) what would it be?
DO: This is a toss up between more power (RIPP Supercharger or LS swap) or new axles.

OE: What is your favorite upgrade so far?
DO: My favorite mod, hands down, are my Morimoto Sealed7 HID Headlights. It probably sounds ridiculous but I can finally see at night as they are super bright for the roads and trails.

OE: If there was one piece of information you could give new Jeep owners, what would it be?
DO: Start small with the upgrades and get some seat time between mods. You don't have to throw a ton of money at your Jeep to fully enjoy it.

Florida Rep: Alex T. (@granitejeeps)

Offroad Elements: What initially made you apply for the Offroad Elements Brand Ambassador program?
Alex T: What Jeeper wouldn't apply for this awesome program?? I initially thought I had no chance with so many Jeepers on Instagram, but I went for it and filled out the app. I applied because OE is where I was able to find what I needed in a super organized and helpful way.

OE: What turned you on to the Jeep world?
AT: It actually started out with my trips to Europe and Africa. Seeing the safari vehicles really got me interested in that expedition-style vehicle. Those vehicles, though, were just old and expensive too. I wanted something new, so I went for the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara. I went for the Sahara over the Rubicon because it said "Sahara". Jeeps have been known to be one of the best 4x4 and offroad vehicles for the longest time. That sense of adventure with the Jeep is what really got me.

OE: What does the Jeep community mean to you?
AT: The Jeep community is just awesome! From Instagram and Facebook to Jeep Beach 2017, Jeeple come out for the same reason everyone else does. Getting advice from others, helping each other out...it's a Jeep thing!

OE: What is your goal with your Jeep, build wise? Overland? Daily driver? Rock crawler? Mud lover? Combo?
AT: My goal is to build an overland/rock crawler combo. My love for the outdoors has me camping outside almost every week- from the beach to the forest hills. A camper is a must for me. Most Jeep campers I have seen have a 2.5" lift and full width bumper and fender flares, but I am going for a rock crawler style. Who doesn't want to hit the rocky trails?! It's an adventure, right?

OE: Who/What is your favorite manufacturer and why?
AT: Hard to answer, but I would have to say EVO. They design specifically for the hardcore offroaders. They create new bumpers, rock sliders, literally everything for the offroading Jeep. Always ahead of the game with offroading trends.

OE: If you had to choose your next upgrade (money not a factor) what would it be?
AT: I think everyone here is going to have the same answer for this! Top notch Dana 60 axles and all! The standards for Jeeps are always going higher and higher. With 35's and possibly even 37's no longer being the "standard" tire sizes for rock crawling and general offroading, you are going to need stronger axles to carry the 40's or even 42's. Upgrading to bigger axles is like overcoming a major hurdle.

OE: What is your favorite upgrade so far?
AT: My Nitto Trail Grappler MT tires! I was a new Jeeper with little research done on Jeep mods, but this was the best choice. On all the road trips, offroad sites and trails I have hit, I haven't needed to be winched out. I know, it will happen to me on my next trip...but I think it is due to the tires. They're a really good tire all around and give the Jeep a nice look!

OE: If you could give one piece of information to new Jeep owners, what would it be?
AT: Go offroading once! At least once. Then decide if you want to go for the offroad life or not. If you enjoy offroading, then make all of your mods for the offroad style.

Massachusetts Rep: Greg K (gregknight66)

Offroad Elements: What initially made you apply for the Offroad Elements Brand Ambassador program?
Greg K: I applied for several reasons. I have always thought very highly of OE- Gillian and Eric in particular. I felt it would be an honor to represent the people and the brand that is so highly respected in the offroad community. I also hoped this would get me more involved in the offroad community- wheeling as well as other events.

OE: What turned you on to the Jeep world?
GK: I bought my first Jeep in 2012 without knowing about Jeeps or the community. I thought I'd use my Jeep as my dd and maybe hit an occasional fire road. After getting involved with a local wheeling club, getting involved with the community on Facebook, meeting some great people- I was hooked. It's definitely the people in the Jeep community that make it so great!

OE: What does the Jeep community mean to you?
GK: To me, the community means friendship, learning about wheeling and building Jeeps, and helping others to do the same and having a good time!

OE: What is your goal with your Jeep build wise? Overland? Daily driver? Rock crawler? Mud lover? Combo?
GK: First are foremost, my Jeep is my daily driver, followed closely by rock crawler and finally, overlander. Building a decent rock crawler seems to be somewhat of a moving target. As you wheel more and get more experience, you want to build a more capable rig. I also want to be able to keep up with others on the trails. With my recent expedition trailer build, there are some mods I'd like to do to be more capable/comfortable when overlanding/camping.

OE: Who/What is your favorite manufacturer and why?
GK: TeraFlex, without a doubt. I believe that TeraFlex builds quality products and I have been happy with all of the TeraFlex products I have owned. They have a great reputation as a company and stand behind the products they design and sell. Lastly, I love Dennis and the marketing crew. This doesn't make the products any better, but the personality is fun and makes me enjoy the products and company even more!

OE: If you had to choose your next upgrade (money not a factor) what would it be?
GK: Axles. My little Dana 30 is so sad. A TeraFlex Dana 60 would look pretty sweet under there- dontcha think?

OE: What is your favorite upgrade so far?
GK: Lockers. I wheeled without them for a couple of years and they are game changers. Yeah, I still manage to get stuck, but I can make it further down the trail and have more fun being out there!

OE: If you could give one piece of information to new Jeep owners, what would it be?
GK: It's YOUR Jeep, build it the way YOU want. Whether it's for the mall or for the trails. You'll get a lot of opinions in the Jeep community- one of the many things that makes the community so great. Do your research, listen to people, but at the end of the day, do it your way. Just go easy on the chrome, k?

Virginia Rep 2 of 2: Ben E. (@the_debtenator)

Offroad Elements: What initially made you apply for the Offroad Elements Brand Ambassador program?
Ben E: I have always wanted to work with a retailer that I believe has the right goals for the Jeep community.

OE: What turned you on to the Jeep world?
BE: I got started in the Jeep world when I was 15, when my parents gave me $2000 to go toward my first car. I looked around and found a 93 Red XJ with 31's and a small lift. Of course I got it! Years of offroading has shown me the freedom, adventure and unity the offroad community can give to your life.

OE: What does the Jeep community mean to you?
BE: The Jeep community is actually a really tricky talking point. I've almost been a part of them all. Each of them has things I love and some I hate. I wish I could say there was "one" Jeep community but sadly, there isn't. Years of owning Jeeps and other offroading rigs has shown me that. For the most part, the community is very accepting and brings a sense of unity.

OE: What is your goal with your Jeep, build wise? Overland? Daily driver? Rock crawler? Mud lover? Combo?
BE: My goal is for my Jeep to be a daily driver but still handle anything I want it to, mostly rock crawling and heavy trail riding. It's mostly built to how I want it but I'm really focusing on beefing it up with new axles and possibly a supercharger. I worry more about function than looks. I want a rig that I can hammer down on and not worry about destroying parts.

OE: Who/What is your favorite manufacturer and why?
BE: Probably MetalCloak. They make amazing products and continue to release new and improved designs constantly.

OE: If you had to choose your next upgrade (money not a factor) what would it be?
BE: Currie RockJock 60's. I think their design of the axles is very smart.

OE: If you could give one piece of information you could give new Jeep owners, what would it be?
BE: Sit back and don't mod your Jeep. Take it out wheeling, go to events, and then plan your build. Once again...plan your build! After a while of owning the Jeep and seeing what type of offroading you like to do, as well as seeing what Jeeps you like, you will know exactly how you want to build your own Jeep. I wish I had just waited and saved up to do it right the first time.

Oklahoma Rep: Kate I (@iwata77)

Offroad Elements: What initially made you apply for the Offroad Elements Brand Ambassador program?
Kate I: Honestly I didn't think I'd be chosen but I thought it was a cool opportunity to help a brand grow and have fun!

OE: What turned you on to the Jeep world?
KI: My mom got her dream Jeep, a 1983 CJ7 Renegade, when I was a kid and I've been hooked ever since. I don't have a memory that doesn't involved her Jeep. I used to sneak out and offroad with my friends.

OE: What does the Jeep community mean to you?
KI: The Jeep community has many aspects, some good and some not so good. I like how it brings people together and that there are people who will answer your questions (even if you feel like an idiot asking them). I love how it turns people into Jeeple and some into family. I have Jeep friends that I've never met in person, but they're still like family to me. And yes, I know how odd that sounds, but it's true.

OE: What is your goal with your Jeep, build wise? Overland? Daily driver? Rock crawler? Mud lover? Combo?
KI: I want my Jeep to be versatile. She's my daily which will limit height but I'm ok with that because my dad's short and he has trouble climbing in. I love to play in the mud puddles on our ranch and to be able to camp out in a field. So ultimately, I want to build a daily driving overlander!

OE: Who/What is your favorite manufacturer and why?
KI: JCR Offroad makes solid, American made products. Those guys are hardworking and know how to have fun. TeraFlex is also on my list. Both have great customer service.

OE: If you had to choose your next upgrade (money not a factor) what would it be?
KI: Not sure an adventure trailer is an upgrade, but I want one so bad! Other than that, maybe a supercharger...I'm a speed demon at heart!

OE: What is your favorite upgrade so far?
KI: My lift. It's only a 2.5" spacer lift, but it's better than nothing.

OE: If there was one piece of information you could give new Jeep owners, what would it be?
KI: Wave dammit!! Second would be to build your Jeep however YOU want. People will have opinions but it's your Jeep and you still have to drive/pay it.

Wisconsin Rep: Matt W. (@jeeps.are.life/@I_haz_jeep)

Offroad Elements: What initially made your apply for the Offroad Elements Brand Ambassador program?
Matt W: Beyond the fact that I am an avid Jeeper, I saw OE as a small business with good intentions. My wife and I are big supporters of small business owners so for me, that was a big selling point. I've also had conversations with fellow ambassadors and I was more than impressed.

OE: What turned you on to the Jeep world?
MW: The community. I love the vehicle and it's capabilities but the community sold me. Everyone is willing to help one another out.

OE: What does the Jeep community mean to you?
MW: A group of individuals willing to help one another, share their stories, give advice, etc.

OE: What is your goal with your Jeep, build wise? Overland? Daily driver? Rock crawler? Mud lover? Combo?
MW: This continues to change. It's a mix of an overland build along with a rock crawler/mud Jeep. Right now things are being built to handle rocks, while on the side building an overland trailer. Once that's done, the Jeep will likely start down that path.

OE: Who/What is your favorite manufacturer and why?
MW: I don't have one.....yet. I like Rock Krawler, Synergy and EVO the most. There are other such as Rancho and TeraFlex that I like as well.

OE: If you had to choose your next upgrade (money not a factor) what would it be?
MW: Dana 44 front axle!

OE: What is your favorite upgrade so far?
MW: My suspension. Went from a crap budget boost to a Rock Krawler lift. Major. Difference.

OE: If there was one piece of information you could give to new Jeep owners, what would it be?
MW: Research before buying. There are a million brands out there with a billion parts. Some better than others, some much better than others. Measure twice, cut once. Same concept goes for Jeep parts.

New Hampshire Rep 2 of 2: Kyle L (@beardedjeeper)

Offroad Elements: What initially made you apply for the Offroad Elements Brand Ambassador program?
Kyle L: Since the first time i purchased something from OE, I was hooked. The amazing customer service and fast shipping when I needed parts for my daily driving. I wanted to be a part of this amazing company and do anything I could to help promote and get their name out there. Eric and Gill are always willing to help and get you anything you need quick! Also, I have wanted one of their wraps on the sides of my Jeep for a long time!

OE: What turned you on to the Jeep world?
KL: The first vehicle I ever drove was a Jeep. My first vehicle I personally owned unfortunately was a car. But even in my VW Jetta, I took that offroading! I was hooked and I needed a Jeep. My first Jeep was a 1989 XJ. Since then, I've been hooked!

OE: What does the Jeep community mean to you?
KL: The Jeep community means everything to me. One of the great things about the community is that they are very accepting. No matter what type of Jeep you drive, you can always talk about what trails you want to go on, mods, dream Jeeps, etc. The Jeep community is my home!

OE: What is your goal with your Jeep, build wise? Overland? Daily driver? Rock crawler? Mud lover? Combo?
KL: My goal with my Jeep is to be my daily driver but i want it to be able to crawl the extreme trails as well. My Jeep's name is Mudzilla so....yes! I like to play in the mud a little too!

OE: Who/What is your favorite brand and why?
KL: I can't really say I have a favorite. I love seeing all the new and innovative products that come out. There is always someone making something new!

OE: If you had to choose your next upgrade (money not a factor) what would it be?
KL: Dynatrac axles!

OE: What is your favorite upgrade so far?
KL: My Warn winch! It gives me the confidence in knowing I can get myself out of a sticky situation, if needed.

OE: If there was one piece of information you could give new Jeep owners, what would it be?
KL: Research! Research! Research! Don't just buy the first shiny thing that catches your attention. Find out what will work with your Jeep and see what others think as well.

Missouri Rep 1 of 2: Shawn Z (@tank_thejku/@JS_offroad/J&S Offroad)

Offroad Elements: What initially made you apply for the Offroad Elements Brand Ambassador program?
Shawn Z: Knowing that if accepted into the program, it would allow me the opportunity to promote a company that I really like and want to see succeed. As I always say, they're awesome and I want to help spread the fact!

OE: What turned you on to the Jeep world?
SZ: My buddies and my love for all things offroad. I grew up on a farm here in MO. Playing in the dirt on quads and old farm trucks and the obsession has only become worse since I decided to buy a Jeep to start trailing with a couple of friends of mind. Oh yeah, and this one company has ridiculous pricing that's too good to pass up (hint hint) and that doesn't help with my addiction either!

OE: What does the Jeep community mean to you?
SZ: The Jeep community to me honestly reminds me of how the rural community around here is, just on a larger scale. When you see another Jeep, there's a connection between you and whoever is in the Jeep. That connection is there for whatever reason- whether that be to lend a hand to a fellow Jeeper in need or simply to make new friends or reconnect with old ones. It's just the way things are supposed to be!

OE: What is your goal with your Jeep, build wise?  Overland? Daily driver? Rock crawler? Mud lover? Combo?
SZ: The Tank, when in its final form, will be a combo built rig. I'd like it to still be street-able to an extent, but slay when it's on the trails. Between the hemi, one tons, and the 47's I intend to add to my build, I think both of my goals will be attainable.

OE: Who/What is your favorite manufacturer and why?
SZ: My favorite manufacturer would be Artec Industries. Their products speak to me on a different level than most because of my fabrication background. When things break on the farm, most of the time you just have to make something work to get back on the field. With Artec, they make the products for everyone that normally would take many hours to construct and they do it for far cheaper than anyone who values their time could do it.  All in all, they just have great products at great prices and the fact that OE sells their line makes me love both companies even more!

OE: If you had to choose your next upgrade (money not a factor) what would it be?
SZ: Hemi for sure. I can't be the only one who has a junk 3.6 in their Jeep. This is engine number 2 and it's got about 10k miles on it and it's in the crapper already.

OE: What is your favorite upgrade so far?
SZ: That's a tough one....I can't honestly pick one out. Tank has been built up as the need arose most of the time and the parts were all picked for their ability to work well with my other mods. I can say that the most helpful mod would be the lockers, even though they're just lunch boxes. Without my lockers, my Jeep wouldn't go half the places that it has been.

OE: If there was one piece of advice you could give a new Jeep owner, what would it be?
SZ: When it comes to wheeling, few things will make as much of an impact as tire pressure and tire placement. If you have a good spotter that knows these two things, your Jeep can accomplish amazing things. Tires are key.

Ohio Rep: Brittany B (@jk_jeepher)

Offroad Elements: What initially made you apply for the Offroad Elements Brand Ambassador program?
Brittany B: OE caught my attention right away. Not only do they supply the most popular brands, but the service and shipping is unbeatable. You speak with a real person, not a computer. OE has honest, fair pricing with the nicest staff you'll come across. That to me is huge for a company that is growing and I'm excited to share the name!

OE: What turned you on to the Jeep community?
BB: I have been into Jeeps for quite some time. My dad had a bright red TJ when I was little. I thought it was the coolest when he'd let me shift for him and the big chrome wheels were a hit in the neighborhood. So for me, i know my dad would have loved to get into this community and I know he's with me and helping me along my personal journey.

OE: What does the Jeep community mean to you?
BB: The Jeep community means everything to me. I have never had such a supporting and willing-to-help group of people in my life. Anything I need at anytime, I have Jeepers to turn to. And the best part, it doesn't even have to be Jeep related! You'll never find a more helping and sincere community than the Jeep world!

OE: What is your goal with your Jeep, build wise? Overland? Daily driver? Rock crawler? Mud lover? Combo?
BB: Right now, Cosmo is my dd. Like most of the world, I struggle financially and unfortunately my build is going to take a lot of time. We do love some mud and we like to go offroading but at the same time, I have to stay pretty chill and no damage anything! I plan to do a lift and some 35's eventually but for now, we rock with our fenderless 33's!

OE: Who/What is your favorite manufacturer and why?
BB: I have the most experience with Poison Spyder. They are a great company and it would be hard to find parts that hold u better than theirs. Larry is a great guy and has made an awesome name for the brand!

OE: If you had to choose your next upgrade (money not a factor) what would it be?
BB: I'd have to say a new soft top! Mine has been pretty scratched since I got the Jeep and the zippers are like a total arm workout! I think having a fresh, new blacked out soft top would change the entire look of Cosmo!

OE: What is your favorite upgrade so far?
BB: So far, I love my tires. I run 33" Pro Comp Xtreme MT2's on 16" wheels. I got them off a friend so they were lightly used. But I absolutely love the look of them. They have never let me down and so far we haven't gotten stuck!

OE: If there was one piece of information you could give new Jeep owners, what would it be?
BB: Have fun with your build! Take time to explore different looks and brands. Don't let people pressure you into what they think looks good. It's your Jeep. have fun with it and take your time.

Georgia Rep 2 of 3: Chase M. (@jk_stormtrooper22)

Offroad Elements: What initially made you apply for the Offroad Elements Brand Ambassador program?
Chase M: Always looking to be more of a part of the Jeep community and help share knowledge through other Jeepers. Great opportunity to help others in all ways and help them find parts that will benefit them the best!

OE: What turned you on to the Jeep world?
CM: My wife helped talk me into purchasing my first Jeep and I'll never own another vehicle besides a truck to tow it!

OE: Who/What is your favorite manufacturer and why?
CM: Crawler Conceptz. Shad has organized a great company and awesome US made armor!

OE: If you had to choose your next upgrade (money not a factor) what would it be?
CM: Ultimate Dana 60's and a GenRight Offroad Cage!

OE: What is your favorite upgrade so far?
CM: My 4.5" MetalCloak Game Changer lift on 40" Nittos!

OE: If there was one piece of information you could give new Jeep owners, what would it be?
CM: Plan your build before purchasing random parts. I've rebuilt my Jeep twice and looking to do it a third time!

Pennsylvania Rep: Frank R (@soldier32mp/@soldier42mp)

Offroad Elements: What initially made you apply for the Offroad Elements Brand Ambassador program?
Frank R: My reasoning for joining the program was a no-brainer after getting to know OE and chatting on social media platforms. I got a feel of what the family was all about and the company's involvement in the Jeep community. When they were looking for people to help spread the word and be a part of something that's already a passion of mine, I said hell yeah! And although I thought it was a long shot, here I am, a brand ambassador for OE!

OE: What turned you on to the Jeep world? And what does the Jeep community mean to you?
FR: Beside my love for Jeeps, it's a very close community and we all have the same things in common. There's a courtesy among fellow Jeepers. There's nothing quite like it in the automotive world. You really don't notice other brands of vehicles!

OE: What is your goal with your Jeep, build wise? Overland? Daily driver? Rock crawler? Mud lover? Combo?
FR: My build is simple; Ramathor is a multifunctional offroad vehicle. I'm designing it around my passions in the outdoor world- offroading, overland, and if ever a disaster occurs, it's ready to roll! At the same time, it's a daily driver, Focusing one just one specific thing in my opinion takes away from what a Jeep is really made for.

OE: Who/What is your favorite manufacturer and why?
FR: There are a lot of great manufacturers out there, but for my project, I went with TeraFlex. A company that, in my opinion, is constantly innovating new parts for the Jeep community and is proactive with the community itself. Not only that, I don't see them going anywhere anytime soon.

OE: If you had to choose your next upgrade (money not a factor) what would it be?
FR: New Dynatrac axles would be top priority along with a better motor upgrade. Having all the pretty swag isn't what's going to get you from A to B.

OE: What is your favorite upgrade so far?
FR: My complete TeraFlex suspension is my favorite! No issues, chipping, rust or failure.

OE: If there was one piece of information you could give new Jeep owners, what would it be?
FR: Learn about your Jeep and understand there's a big difference compared to conventional vehicles. Know what you plan on using it for and understand what all the components you already have do. The higher you go, the more the geometry changes as well as ride quality and safety.

** We would like to thank our reps for taking the time out of their busy schedules to give us a little insight into their Jeep stories! Make sure to say hi if you happen to see them on the trails or at events!
