This tire carrier happens to be a popular seller and allows you to run a larger spare tire without causing damage to your tailgate, The carrier allows the load and weight of the tire to more than one hinge point. It incorporates and uses the factory tailgate hinge mounting points and spreads and separates the load as far apart as possible which results in maximum strength and durability. The fit is designed to follow the flow of your Jeep and provides additional mounting points for a recovery jack and fluid containers.
