The Rock Hard 4x4 Oil Pan/Transmission/Dual Catalytic Converter Skid Plate is designed to fasten to your Jeep Wrangler JK's front in front of both motor mounts and at the main crossover in the rear. This provides your vehicle with maximum strength and protection against damage while on the trails. An extension on the left-hand side protects the normally exposed converter, which would be very expensive to repair, if damaged. The oil drain access plate makes oil changes easy and minimizes clean up. All of the bolts at the frame crossover are replaced with tapered bolt head protectors, allowing rocks and obstacles to slide across them with ease and allowing you to get a socked on the bolt heads for removal. Manufacturer tests have shown stock drivelines to clear this skid at 40" of flex.

The product was shipped in a very timely fashion and all items were in the package. The printed directions were a little hard to understand so I used the video on You Tube to help with the install. The install was pretty simple with the most difficult part installing and tightening the bolts for the engine area brackets. Seems to be a very well built "Made in America" product. I look forward to seeing how it holds up off-road.

The install couldn't have been easier. All of the supplied hardware was super beefy and high quality. Mine arrived in perfect shape with no shipping damage or scratches. I've had the skid plate take a few beatings here in CO and it's held up like a champ. Can't wait to install the gas tank skid!

Bolts all up to the frame giving great protection when you slam down on a rock. Super thick and really strong, but not too heavy. Already put it to use a couple times.
