If you plan on hanging a larger spare tire on your tailgate, you better upgrade the hinges! The Rock Hard 4x4 billet aluminum hinge braces are the simplest, strongest way to protect your body and tailgate from stress fatigue and failure.
Our billet aluminum braces are CNC machined from a solid 1" thick block of high quality American made billet aluminum. Multiple times stronger than standard aluminum.
Easy to install with zero cutting, drilling, or welding required. The tailgate operates just like factory using the factory handle to open and shut the tire carrier. Our heavy duty billet aluminum hinge braces bolt over existing thin factory hinges to support the added weight of an aftermarket tire and wheel combination. Easily supports a 35" tire, depending on bumper clearance.
