This kit allows you to install rear disc brakes with an electric parking brake on your 2nd & 3rd Gen Toyota Tacoma (2005-2023, 6 lug applications). Perfect for upgrading your factory drum brakes and retaining parking brake function without the hassle of trying to adapt the factory cables. This kit is also a perfect option for those looking to swap Tacoma axles on your off-road project while retaining parking brake function.
This kit is available in two configurations. One uses rear calipers from 2024+ Toyota Tacoma (non hybrid trims), while the other uses rear calipers from a 2019-2024 Chevy Blazer. Fitment and function is very similar between the two. Considerations for choosing desired configuration will come down to manufacturer preferences and parts availability in your area.
The advantage of the electric parking brake is obvious if you have ever adapted a mechanical one before- It is much easier to route electrical wires than adapt heavy pull cables, and make sure leverage ratios work together.
