Introducing Range Industries Gen 2 Electric Parking Brake (EPB) mounting kit for the 99-07 GM 14 Bolt. This product allows you to replace your old drum-in-hat brake system with modern calipers that integrate an electric parking brake and use a 14” vented rotor. This kit is a game-changer for anyone swapping 1 ton axles and needing a powerful parking brake. Stop your rig on any hill on the trail and know the parking brake will hold.
The new design allows for forward or backward-facing calipers and integrates JK or JL ABS provisions. The tone rings are machined for a precision shrink fit on GM replacement hubs (Part Number: RW20118), or have a machine shop turn a shoulder on your existing hubs.
The ABS sensor mounts on top of the axle to keep it out of harm's way, and does not require drilling or modification of the axle flange.
This will fit most 17”+ wheels depending on wheel design and backspacing.
The advantage of the electric parking brake is obvious if you have ever adapted a mechanical one before- It is much easier to route electrical wires than adapt heavy pull cables, and make sure leverage ratios work together. And the holding power of the electric calipers is superb, extremely reliable, and easy to operate. There is a reason most modern vehicles now use them.
