A power steering fluid reservoir needs to be vented to prevent the buildup of excess system pressure, caused by an increase in fluid temperature. A vent also allows air to escape the system, which prevents fluid cavitation in the pump, thus improving the life cycle of the pump. This is especially critical for vehicles regularly driven in intermediate-to-advanced offroad environments.

This PSC’s Fluid Anti-Splash Valve with 6 PSI Pressure Relief Valve helps keep fluid where it where it belongs, in the system. Specifically designed for PSC Remote Fluid Reservoirs with vented caps, it prevents fluid from escaping while keeping the fluid reservoir slightly pressurized to help prevent fluid aeration. If the internal pressure of the fluid reservoir exceeds atmospheric pressure (14.7 PSI) by 6 PSI, the Fluid Anti-Splash Valve’s internal pressure relief will pop off to protect your PSC setup.
