If you’ve got a JL 392 and big tires, you already know the factory steering just doesn’t cut it. Whether you’re running stock axles or a full aftermarket setup, PSC’s Cylinder Assist Steering Kits are built to handle the power of the HEMI and the punishment of off-road driving.
These kits come fully assembled with all the hoses, fittings, brackets, and hardware you need for a clean install. You’ll get our specially valved High Performance Steering Gear with PSC’s High Flow Tower and custom spool valve, plus an upgraded pump designed to keep up with the demands of the cylinder assist system.
We also include a high-capacity remote reservoir, high-flow heat sink cooler, anti-splash valve, and PSC 715 High-Performance Power Steering Fluid. It’s everything you need to upgrade your steering and keep it rock-solid on the trail and smooth on the street.

- Cylinder Assist Axle Kit (stroke varies by kit)
- Tie Rod Clamp (size varies by kit or not included)

Notes:
** Use Hardware Kit HWK-689-PP when installing the Synergy MFG track bar and sector shaft brace with this product. Using the shorter OEM or the standard 100mm bolts supplied could result in steering gear box case failure.
*** The larger size of the steering gear box may prohibit the use of some aftermarket track bars
**** A Tazer JL Programmer (Tazer JL or Tazer Mini) will need to be purchased to override the OEM electro-hydraulic pump functions when installing the high flow mechanical pump conversion kit.
***** Positive caster increases align torque, aka the force that straightens the steering wheel when you go forward, which improves straight line stability of the car. Due to the geometry of positive caster this will also increase negative camber gain when turning, which will enable a wider tire contact patch. The caster angle is a major contributor to directional control. An insufficient amount of positive caster angle will decrease driver effort at the steering wheel, but may make the vehicle too sensitive and twitchy, especially as speed increases. To achieve the best on-the-road driving experience, recommended front axle caster setting is 7 degrees positive.
