Flowmasters new American Thunder cat-back system for the Jeep Wrangler JK is perfect for the person looking for maximum performance and ground clearance from their exhaust system. This 2.50 system features a 409S stainless steel mandrel bent tailpipe with a 3.00 polished stainless steel tip and fits both 2 and 4 door models with the 3.6L and 3.8L V6 engines. This system replaces the factory transverse muffler and relocates the Super HP-2 muffler behind the factory catalytic converter, providing a moderate to aggressive sound level. This relocation allows for better ground clearance when driving off-road. Because the tailpipe is tucked up so high, an aftermarket metal bumper is recommended. The exhaust system is manufactured in the USA and is covered by Flowmaster's Lifetime Limited Warranty. Designed for an easy fit, this system includes all necessary parts and hardware for installation.

This was a great upgrade. Easy to install and sounds pretty good. I purchased this exhaust to replace the damaged factory exhaust. I wasn’t too worried about the exhaust note, just wanted to have it tucked away to avoid damage. This did the trick.
I recently installed this on my 2011 with 3.8L. I was hesitant to buy as most exhaust sounds terrible on the 3.8. My concerns were unfounded. This exhaust has a nice deep throaty rumble at idle and at WOT, doesn’t sound like a cheap Chinese Honda fart can. Also, no high speed drone like a lot of other exhausts are known for.. I highly recommend.
Had to replace my exhaust due to crushing it on some rocks Have a few other fellow jeepers who run this system and rant about it. So i gave it a try, Well worth the money and the increase horsepower was a bonus. Would recommend this system to anyone. Like the deep rumble sound too.
