The Daystar Hood Latches are designed to stop the hood flutter on your Jeep Wrangler JK. Your stock hood latches use a weak and stretch-prone rubber that allows the hood to shake and flutter at high speeds. The result is unsettling and a suspension lift only aggravates the problem by allowing more air to push up on the underside of the hood. These latches are a direct replacement for the factory rubber latches. They are constructed of a heavy duty polyurethane material and provide a more positive lock that keeps the hood securely shut regardless of vehicle speed. They utilize most of the factory hood components to the upgrade will still look factory once complete. This is an inexpensive way to fix an annoying and sometimes hazardous problem.
